The challenge

Alinma had no clear motion language. Every day the brand moved differently — inconsistent styles across teams and outputs — so motion never built recognition or matched the bank's positioning.

My approach

We built a full motion design system from the ground up and tied it to the brand's “One step ahead” idea: every motion is directed to move forward — never falling, never reversing — so the promise is felt in how the brand moves, not just what it says.

The outcome

Motion became consistent and instantly recognisable, and the system differentiated Alinma from the rest of the category.

Confident, graceful & dynamic

Motion is grounded in physics, so animations feel intuitive and tangible. Movements are fluid and deliberate, with smooth easing and controlled impacts — a responsive, sophisticated experience.

Clear & focused

Motion creates clarity by guiding the eye and establishing visual hierarchy. Every movement supports the main message, ensuring a single focused point of communication.

Purposeful & efficient

Every animation must have a distinct purpose: add meaning, simplify a complex idea, or streamline the experience. Motion for its own sake is avoided — if it doesn't add value, it's left out.

Curves & tempo

Custom easing curves, no abrupt acceleration. Three keyframe modes cover every case — end fast, start fast, impact — and pacing stays deliberate so movement reads as confidence rather than hurry.

Two frame rates: 60fps for UI, social and tutorials, where smoothness is the point; 24fps for brand campaigns and films, where the cinematic feel is.

Direction

The rule that carries the positioning: motion always moves forward or upward. Never backward. Never down.

A bank that says it is one step ahead cannot animate backwards without contradicting itself. So the constraint is absolute, and it holds across every transition, every cut, every logo build.

Transition library — left, right, scale up. Each with a second take, so editors never repeat the same cut back to back.

Logo system

Every lockup animated and specified — horizontal, vertical and icon, each with a simplified cut for short formats and reversed versions for dark and light grounds. Eleven builds, one behaviour.

Horizontal · vertical · icon.
